Parent & Child Workshop- 1.5 Hour Embroider Your Own Rainbow- Cheadle Library 05.08.2022

Join me to learn how to embroider a simple rainbow personalised with a name underneath. Choose to draw your own bespoke design or you can use one of my personalised templates.

Sewing with a simple needle and thread is a great activity for everyone to do. It keeps our hands and minds busy (but relaxed) and helps improve our fine motor skills.

And embroidering your own designs is even better. That way you get to be super creative!

If you would like a helping hand to get your child started with a new hobby, then these Parent & Child Workshops are perfect for you. Not only will they learn new skills (and you too!) you will both get to spend time together in a relaxed environment, make new friends and be inspired by others around you too.

If your child has never tried sewing before, I would recommend booking onto one of my 1 hour taster sessions first (but this is not compulsory) to help them get familiar with using a needle and thread. These are running Monday mornings at Marple Library and Friday mornings at Cheadle Library. There is one immediately before this session. See availability and book on here- Taster Sessions

The recommended age for children attending my Parent & Child Workshops is 4 -11 years old (i.e Primary School aged Children from Reception to Year 6).

Please note, the session is a group activity for up to 8 children in total. Children will need their adult’s help and supervision throughout the workshop, as we will be using sharp needles and scissors. Only children are provided with a hoop and fabric, but adults can join in of course.

• Please note that tickets are non-refundable once booked. If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend/family member. Please just email me their details so that I know who to expect at the class.
